Join writers, publishers, presenters, and readers for a series of workshops, panel presentations, and other events. Bowen Island has been inspiring writers for almost a century. Maybe it's the beautiful natural surroundings or maybe it's the welcoming community that gets the creative juices flowing. Either way (or both!), Bowen Island is the place to be for aspiring and experienced writers on the weekend of July 2 to 4. Come spend the day or the whole weekend! All you need to bring is your notebook and your imagination!
Sponsored by the Bowen Island Arts Council, the third annual Write on Bowen Festival of Readers and Writers kicks off at 7:30 pm on Friday, July 2 at the Gallery @ Artisan Square with a very special presentation by renowned poet and storyteller Ivan E. Coyote.
On Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4, you can choose from a wide range of exciting workshops, panel presentations, and keynote sessions. All our presenters are professional writers, editors, or publishers who want to help you improve your writing, increase your chances of getting published, and share their extensive knowledge of the writing life.
